The spacious, premium passenger jets had air-conditioning, heating, reclining seats, sleeping berths, you name it. Howard Hughes even bought one of his own and dubbed it “The Flying Penthouse”. 

Stetson launched the Stratoliner as a travel-friendly gentleman’s hat with a wider brim and a shorter crown that made it a practical choice for the jet setters of the time.
