Vintage Turkana Beaded Necklace

Traditionally, Turkana beads are worn by the people of northwest Kenya. The people of Turkana live as semi-nomadic pastoralists. It is customary for the women to wear necklaces made of beads such as these to distinguish between age, status and special occasions.
